Why it's on The Cornrow?
We couldn’t have an Oshun energy Category without waistbeads! Oshun is the West African Orisha (Deity) of feminine and sensuality and is often depicted wearing wasitbeads. Sourced direct from Nigeria we curated this waistbead set to reflect our Cornrow vibe with gorgeous earthy tones.
Beyonce opens her "Black is King" visual album by stating that "history is our future" and proceeds to give us a masterclass in the history and future of the Black aesthetic. Waist beads were a beautiful part of our story and we are excited to offer a curated waist bead edit on The Cornrow.
