Pat & Pinky's is a Guyanese brand getting us to expand our concept of Caribbean food beyond the West Indian islands and Jerk Chicken!

Pat realised that the much-prized Wiri Wiri chilli, which is an essential part of Guyana’s vibrant cuisine, was actually little known elsewhere and he decided to give it the attention he felt it deserved. Using the distinctive cherry-shaped chillis, along with local herbs and spices, he created his own delicious, spicy sauce recipes, and Pat and Pinky’s was born.

Pat & Pinky's

Pat grew up with vivid memories of his mother, affectionately known as Pinky, who was renowned for her rosy cheeks and exceptional cooking skills. When Pinky passed away, she left Pat with the gift of culinary prowess, and he took great joy in cooking delicious Guyanese dishes full of "Flava" for his loved ones and friends throughout his life.

After a successful 25-year career running his own marketing company in the UK, Pat decided it was time to refocus his energy and follow his passion. He returned to his father in Guyana, the only English-speaking country in South America with a unique culture influenced by Amerindian, Black African, East Indian, Chinese, Portuguese, and European traditions. Pat found himself frequenting local markets, gathering fresh produce and the renowned WIRI WIRI chili peppers that grow exclusively in Guyana. Inspired by the vibrant flavors of Guyanese cuisine, Pat embarked on a journey to create a range of hot sauces that celebrate the distinct flavors of his homeland. Over the past five years, he has tirelessly developed and perfected the first range of Pat & Pinky's Hot Sauces.

Pat believes that these sauces not only showcase the unique culture of Guyana but also support local farmers and the economy. With the WIRI WIRI chili pepper, also known as the "Guyana Chili" or the "Flava Chili," as a key ingredient, Pat's sauces add an exciting twist to traditional Caribbean cooking. Through his culinary creations, Pat aims to shine a light on the rich heritage of his homeland and promote sustainable practices that benefit local communities.
