Why it's on The Cornrow?
We are constantly on the hunt for beautiful art to adorn your walls with. We love the modern wistful vibe of Asante-Crooks art. We are pretty sure you don't have anything on your walls quite like it.
I'm a self-taught artist on a creative journey that began with dabbling in acrylics. With each paint stroke, I searched for my unique voice, but I was always hungry for more. That's when I discovered the magic of digital collage, where I could reconstruct images to tell new stories that captured my imagination.
My art is a reflection of the hope that blooms amidst the everyday struggles of racial inequality and mental health. I often incorporate botanical imagery, as flowers symbolize beauty, goodness, and a moment of respite from reality during our saddest times. They also represent joy and celebration, a burst of color in our lives.
As I create, I pour my heart into every piece, striving to convey the emotions and messages that matter to me. I'm never satisfied with mediocrity, always pushing myself to create something truly unique and meaningful.
