'57 Chocolate is the pioneer bean to bar chocolate business in Ghana. The name comes from the year 1957, the year of Ghana’s independence. The venture uses cocoa grown within the country to create delicious chocolate. '57 hones in on Ghana’s Independence Day spirit and challenges the status quo that premium chocolate can only be made in Europe.
Adinkra symbols from Ghana are highly beautiful decorative symbols but also are used to convey traditional wisdom.
Why it's on The Cornrow?
We are so proud to source a chocolate brand which we can give our 'Made in Africa' symbol. It's crazy how most of the cocoa in the world comes from Ghana but so little of the chocolate production. We are happy to play a small part here in getting this wonderful chocolate onto the UK market.
